How To connect ADSL MODEM ON UBUNTU

I want to share my exprience install adsl modem on linux ubuntu..

1. Login as root on your linux ubuntu... take your password to login...

2. Next,if you have succed login ,the screen will show like this picture and write sudo pppoeconf and enter.

3.After that,Plug your adsl modem in to your laptop or netbook and click yes .console will show dialog configuration and continue with configuration

4 . After that , take your adsl modem name .. for the example i use xxxxxx@telkom.net

5.. Set your adsl modem password and click ok.... waiting for a moment

6. to connect internet click sudo pon dsl-provider



7. Disconnecting to internet,click sudo poff dsl-provider



8.. Haappppyyyy browsing .......................
